Background Information: The Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) has recommended a change to Board Policy #4.400 – Instructional Materials. The Board’s current policy is included for your reference. Since our current policy has not been updated since 2004, it is my opinion that the Board should adopt TSBA's proposed policy to replace our current policy in totality. Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of the above-noted amendment to Board Policy #4.400 on the first reading. |
